A corporate career rarely enjoys such a good reputation as devoted entrepreneurship or free-spirited freelancing. Working as an employee in a big company is often believed to be monotonous, controlled and even frustrating.
Having spent around 10 years in a corporate environment, I strongly believe in the opposite. It is very well possible to progress professionally and fulfil career goals while pursuing your hobbies, enjoying family and friends and discovering far-away countries.
